Activity log: who changed what at the cash register and in the dashboard

Activity log and staff control
A receipt “closed without payment”, an item deleted after payment, a discount given to “a friend” — such losses go unnoticed until someone records them. In Goovii every important action is recorded in the log: who, when, where — at the cash register or in the dashboard — and with which object.
What is recorded
- deleting an item or a guest from a receipt;
- a receipt closed without payment;
- a discount applied or removed, bonuses written off;
- cash movements at the register — cash in, cash out, collection;
- opening and closing a shift, including forced closing;
- cancelling bookings and delivery orders;
- edits in the dashboard — what was changed in settings and reference lists, and by whom.
Failed attempts are recorded too: if a cashier tried to do something they have no rights for, you will see it.
How to search
- In the dashboard, open Activity log.
- Choose the period and the place — cash register, dashboard or everywhere.
- Each entry shows who acted, what action was done, with which object, and the details.
For the log to work
- Each employee logs in to the cash register with their own PIN — then an action is always recorded to a specific person. See How to add a new employee.
- Allow risky operations only to senior staff — see Role and access permissions setup.
Refunds and discounts are shown separately in staff statistics, and the owner gets notifications about them in the Goovii Business app. More on the Activity Log and Staff Control page.
