Sales forecast and supplier orders

Goovii calculates the forecast from your own sales history, so purchasing and the shift schedule are based on numbers, not on guesswork.

How the forecast is calculated

The forecast is built from the same days of the week in the past — up to eight weeks back — adjusted for the venue’s overall trend. At least two weeks of sales are needed for the calculation. Next to the forecast you see how many days went into the calculation and how accurate it is.

What the Forecast section shows

  • Today — the expected revenue and number of receipts, and whether the day is going above or below usual.
  • 7-day forecast — as a chart or a table, next to the actual figures.
  • Tickets by hour — to plan the shift.
  • Product demand — how much of each product is expected to sell.

What to buy

  1. Choose how many days you are buying for.
  2. Goovii calculates for each ingredient the daily usage, how long the stock will last and how much to buy, with the total amount.
  3. Items are grouped by the supplier of the last supply; the order can be copied as text.

Usage is calculated from recipe cards, so it is worth filling them in.

Supplier orders

  1. Open Supplier orders — it lists the items below the threshold, grouped by supplier.
  2. Change the quantity if needed and copy the order text to send it in a messenger.
  3. Mark the order as sent, received or cancelled — this way you see what is already on the way.

When the goods arrive, record a supply. More on the Sales and Purchasing Forecast page.
