Working without internet and during blackouts

Working without internet
The Goovii cash register does not stop when the internet goes down: sales continue, and everything collected is sent when the network returns.
What works without a network
- Sales and receipt printing — waiters and cashiers work as usual.
- Changes to an open receipt — add or remove an item, a guest or a modifier; each change is queued on the cash register.
- PIN login — employees with access to the cash register log in even without a network.
- PRRO — switches to the offline mode provided by the State Tax Service.
PRRO without internet
The tax authority allows software cash registers to work offline for a limited time: up to 36 hours per offline session and up to 168 hours per calendar month. Receipts created offline are sent to the tax service as soon as the connection is restored. How to register a PRRO — in the article How to register a PRRO.
When the connection returns
- The queue is sent to the server in order, in the same sequence the operations were made on the cash register.
- If the server is briefly unavailable, the cash register retries by itself once a minute.
- An operation sent twice is not duplicated.
- Sales go into reports and warehouse accounting as usual.
How to prepare the venue for outages
- Keep the router and the receipt printer on an uninterruptible power supply.
- Keep waiters’ tablets and phones charged.
- After adding new employees, open the cash register with internet — this way it receives their PIN access for working without a network.
