Staff, schedules and payroll in one system
Venues often calculate payroll in a spreadsheet at the end of the month: matching hours against a paper schedule, checking waiters' sales against the till, and arguing over the numbers every time. Goovii takes the data straight from the POS: who opened a shift, how long they worked and what they sold. Payroll is calculated automatically using the rules you set.
Employees, roles and permissions
Each employee logs into the POS with their own PIN code, so every action — sales, refunds, discounts, cancellations — is recorded under their name. Roles define what each person is allowed to do: extended access rights and separate POS settings. The owner role is protected and cannot be deleted. You can give an accountant or manager view-only access to the back office via their email: they see the reports but can't change anything.
Shift schedule
The weekly schedule shows planned shifts alongside actual ones — those that were really opened and closed on the POS. You can see who was late or left early. Add a shift by clicking a cell; overnight shifts past midnight are supported, and you can copy the previous week with one button.
Payroll on your terms
- Hourly — an hourly rate, calculated from the shift length on the POS.
- Per shift — a fixed amount for each shift worked.
- Percentage of sales — of all sales, of the kitchen, bar or a specific workshop, or only of selected items.
- Rate plus percentage — for waiters and bartenders motivated by sales.
You can cap the maximum rate-based amount per day and add bonuses or deductions. If a shift is corrected retroactively, pay is recalculated at the rate that applied to that specific shift.
Reports
The “Payroll” section shows each employee's total and a per-shift breakdown. Statistics include sales by employee, and the “Payroll vs Revenue” panel shows what share of revenue goes to the wage fund. Tips are counted separately from revenue and don't affect these figures.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Goovii calculate payroll?
From shifts worked and sales on the POS. For each employee you set a pay type: hourly rate, per-shift rate, percentage of sales, or rate plus percentage.
Can I pay a percentage only from the kitchen, bar or specific items?
Yes. The percentage can be calculated from all sales, from the kitchen, bar or a specific workshop, or only from items you choose.
Can I give an accountant access to reports?
Yes. View-only back-office access is granted via a registered user's email: they see the reports but can't change anything.
Can I see who actually showed up for a shift?
Yes. The shift schedule shows planned shifts alongside actual ones — those opened and closed on the POS.
What hardware does the Goovii POS run on?
The POS runs on Android tablets and smartphones, Windows computers and iOS. It connects to receipt printers via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and to bank POS terminals. The number of registers is unlimited and doesn't affect the price.
Can I try Goovii for free?
Yes, the first 15 days are free with no card required. During this time you can set up your menu, connect the POS and make your first sales, then choose a plan afterwards.
