Kitchen Display for Restaurants and Cafes

Orders from the POS, website and QR menu appear instantly on the kitchen screen: split by station, with "Cooking" and "Ready" statuses, a sound alert for new orders and continued operation during connection drops.

Kitchen orders without paper tickets

The kitchen display (KDS) shows orders to cooks the moment a waiter or cashier sends them from the POS. A paper ticket can get lost, splashed or misread. On the screen, every dish is visible with its add-ons, comment and receipt number, and the cook marks it ready with a single tap.

In Goovii, the kitchen display is a mode of the same Goovii POS app used for the register. No separate software is needed: when opening the app, the cook taps "This is a kitchen screen" and enters the connection code from the back office.

What the cook sees

  • Order card: receipt number, waiter's name, "Takeaway", "Delivery" or "QR order" labels, and the guest's comment.
  • Add-ons and changes: modifiers for each dish. If an add-on was removed or changed after the order was sent, the card shows it.
  • Additional orders for an already open table arrive with a separate label, so the kitchen doesn't cook a dish twice.
  • Cancellations: if a dish is removed from the order or the order is cancelled, the cook sees it on the card.

Stations and statuses

If the kitchen has several zones, such as hot, cold, pizza or bar, each screen can be filtered by its own station or show all stations together. The first tap on a dish sets it to "Cooking", the second to "Ready". The "All ready" button closes the whole order. Dishes completed in the last half hour stay in a separate list and can be brought back if marked by mistake.

Sound and offline operation

Each new order comes with a sound alert, and the volume can be adjusted right on the screen. The screen stays on throughout the shift. If the internet goes down, the cook sees the last known orders and a "No connection" label. As soon as the connection is back, the screen updates on its own.

Works with the POS, website and inventory

The kitchen display receives orders from the POS, the venue website and the QR menu. Sales still deduct ingredients from inventory based on recipe cards, and the owner sees everything that went through the kitchen in statistics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need separate software for the kitchen display?

No. The kitchen display is a mode of the Goovii POS app. When opening the app, the cook selects "This is a kitchen screen" and enters the code obtained in the back office under "Kitchen screens".

Can I set up separate screens for different stations?

Yes. Each screen shows orders for its own station, for example the hot kitchen or the bar, or all stations together.

How does the cook mark a dish as ready?

The first tap on a dish sets it to "Cooking", the second to "Ready". The "All ready" button closes the whole order, and a dish marked by mistake can be brought back from the ready list.

What happens to the screen if the internet goes down?

The screen shows the last known orders and a "No connection" label, and updates on its own once the connection is back.

What hardware does the Goovii POS run on?

The POS runs on Android tablets and smartphones, Windows computers and iOS. It connects to receipt printers via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and to bank POS terminals. The number of registers is unlimited and doesn't affect the price.

Can I try Goovii for free?

Yes, the first 15 days are free, with no card required. During this time you can set up your menu, connect the POS and make your first sales, and choose a plan afterwards.
