How to connect a Wi-Fi printer to Goovii POS

Connecting a printer via Wi-Fi allows you to print receipts and kitchen order tickets without using Bluetooth. The printer connects to the local venue network and works stably even at a long distance from the tablet.


Step 1. Connecting the printer to Wi-Fi

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Open the printer settings menu.
  3. Select Wi-Fi or Network Settings.
  4. Find your Wi-Fi network.
  5. Enter the password.

Important: the tablet with Goovii POS must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.


Method 1. Adding a printer via IP address

How to find the IP address:

  • Print a “Network Test” or “Self Test” page
  • Check your router settings

Example IP address: 192.168.0.105

How to add a printer:

  1. Open Goovii POS.
  2. Go to Control Panel.
  3. Open Printers.
  4. Click Add printer.
  5. Select connection type Wi-Fi (IP).
  6. Enter the printer IP address.
  7. Save settings.

Method 2. Searching printer via LAN

If the printer and tablet are on the same Wi-Fi network, you don’t need to enter the IP manually.

  1. Open Goovii POS.
  2. Go to Control Panel.
  3. Open Printers.
  4. Select connection type LAN.
  5. Click Search.

The system will automatically find all printers in the network.

Select the required printer and save settings.


Printer assignment settings

1. Receipt printing

Select “Receipt” if the printer is used for guest receipts.

2. Kitchen/bar printing

Select “Stations” if the printer is used for kitchen, bar or other production areas.


Test print

After setup, make sure to click “Test print”.

If the page prints successfully, the printer is ready to use.


If the printer does not print

  • Check Wi-Fi connection
  • Make sure the tablet and printer are on the same network
  • Check IP address correctness (if method 1 was used)
  • Check paper availability

In most cases, the issue is caused by different networks or no connection.
