📊 Cash Register Reports in Goovii: X, Z and Sales Summary Report
Cash register reports are the main tool for financial control, revenue verification, and shift performance analysis. In the Goovii system, X report, Z report, and Sales Summary Report are available. Each of them has its own purpose and importance.
🧾 X report (interim report)
The X report is an informational report without closing the shift.
It allows you to:
- View current shift revenue
- Check the number of receipts
- Monitor cash and non-cash transactions
- Reconcile actual cash in the register
Important: The X report does not close the shift and does not reset data. It can be generated unlimited times during the day.
🧾 Z report (final shift report)
The Z report is a final report generated when closing a cash shift.
It:
- Records the shift sales totals
- Resets cash register data for the next shift
- Ends the cashier’s working day
⚠ If the cash register is fiscalized — the Z report MUST be submitted. Without sending the Z report, the shift will not be considered properly closed.
Failure to send the Z report may lead to:
- Errors in fiscal reporting
- Inability to close the shift
- Violation of legal requirements
Recommendation: always ensure the Z report has been successfully sent, especially when using a fiscal printer.
📈 Sales Summary Report
The Sales Summary Report allows analysis of business results for a selected period.
It displays:
- Total sales amount
- Number of receipts
- Average receipt value
- Sales by payment methods
- Sales by products or categories
This report is used for:
- Financial analysis
- Staff performance control
- Product popularity evaluation
- Management decision-making
✅ Why cash reports are important
- Ensure financial discipline
- Help avoid cash discrepancies
- Guarantee correct fiscal reporting
- Provide full control over sales
Regular generation and review of reports is the foundation of transparent and secure business management in Goovii 🔐
